Identify your exact ACTBEST bike, battery, and charger, then get the replacement part and charger match confirmed in writing before paying. A matching voltage, plug, or case shape isn't enough. Start with our battery collection, but treat it as a shopping entry point, not a fit chart for every bike generation.

A close-up outdoor shot shows a person kneeling beside a black Actbest folding electric bicycle and removing a silver and black removable battery. The background is a blurred green garden.

I wouldn't spend battery money on a familiar-looking mounting rail. The useful answer names your bike, the pack being supplied, and the charger to use with it.

First decide: spare purchase or fault report?

A working battery and a planned spare: send a purchase inquiry. Tell ACTBEST whether you want a second pack or a replacement for an aging one. Ask for the approved part, charger, installation instructions, and current purchase terms.

Reduced range or a charging problem, with no physical warning signs: send a support inquiry before buying another pack as a test. Describe what changed and when. A shorter ride doesn't, by itself, establish that the battery is faulty. Our battery-health guide explains why range changes and display readings alone do not diagnose a worn-out pack. The ACTBEST warranty policy, checked September 29, 2026, assigns battery-fault assessment to ACTBEST and requests purchase proof and problem evidence for claims. A paid order and a warranty claim are separate routes.

Any battery warning signs: excessive heat, swelling, leaking, an unusual odor, or odd noises from the pack mean stop using it, as the U.S. Fire Administration advises. Get yourself and others clear and call 911 from a safe location. FDNY's battery guidance also calls for 911 when warning signs appear. Don't wait for a support reply, approach the pack to unplug it, or try another charge. Smoke or fire makes getting clear even more urgent.

If the pack has been struck, crushed, or visibly damaged but has none of those warning signs, keep it unused and off charge. Ask ACTBEST for a safe inspection and handling route. UL Solutions advises inspection of damaged equipment before further use. Don't open the pack or fit a spare to see whether the bike recovers.

Identify the bike, pack, and charger before shopping

The ACTBEST spare-battery listing asks buyers to specify their e-bike model. That's useful, but a model-name dropdown doesn't settle the identity of an older bike or a replaced electrical component.

Use the order record and model manual to identify the bike. Photograph the battery and charger labels, plus the battery's mounting position, only when there are no warning signs and you can do so safely. If the bike was bought used, say whether you know the equipment is original. "Unknown" is more useful than assuming the previous owner's charger is correct.

A connector photo can help when the connector is already visible or accessible through normal, manual-approved removal of an undamaged pack. Don't probe contacts, pull wiring, remove a case, or disassemble the bike for a better picture.

Voltage is only one part of the match. The mount, electrical connections, and charging equipment must suit the specific bike and pack. UL Solutions describes e-bike electrical-system evaluation as a combination of drive, battery, and charger systems. A plug that fits doesn't establish that combination. Don't alter a connector, add an adapter, join packs together, or rebuild a pack to make an unconfirmed purchase work.

Send the card through our ACTBEST contact page, along with the exact listing you're considering:

For the bike and equipment above, which battery part number and revision do you approve? Please confirm the bike generation it fits and identify the charger to use. Is my existing charger approved for that replacement?

Please confirm whether installation needs a technician, any setup or first-use instructions, and the current price, availability, shipping eligibility, and return terms for my destination.

If this is a fault inquiry, should the existing pack be assessed under warranty before I place a paid order? Please explain any authorized work or charges and how the old battery should be handled.

This gets the important questions into one exchange. A label photo supports identification; it isn't a request for you to decode the electrical system yourself.

Read the reply back before paying

Put the reply beside your inquiry card. Does it name the bike you own, the replacement pack, and the approved charger? Does it explain installation and whether you're following a paid-order or warranty route?

Use these statuses to review the reply:

Confirmed for this exact bike Awaiting confirmation Not compatible
ACTBEST has identified the bike, pack, charger, and applicable instructions in writing A part identifier, bike generation, charger, or installation answer is missing ACTBEST has explicitly ruled out the proposed part or configuration
Keep the dated reply and check the order against it Pause the order and ask the specific missing question Don't order it for this bike

A general "works with ACTBEST" reply belongs in the middle column until the match is clear. If the reply names a different bike, correct it before proceeding.

If the original pack is unavailable, ask whether ACTBEST offers a documented successor for your exact bike and what additional equipment or service it requires. Don't assume a newer model's battery is that successor. The same applies to a higher-capacity option: ask whether that exact pack and charger combination is approved, not just whether the voltage matches.

For a school or managed building, there is one more question before ordering: does its existing storage or charging permission cover the proposed replacement? Send the new equipment details to the responsible office. For campus housing, our certification and permission guide separates equipment documentation from the school's decision about the actual location. Product compatibility doesn't grant building permission.

When the confirmed battery arrives

Before installation or charging, compare the received pack's label with the part ACTBEST identified. Check for visible shipping damage. If the part differs, the housing is damaged, or the pack won't seat and latch as its instructions describe, don't force it or alter the mount. Contact support with safely obtained photos. Excessive heat, swelling, an unusual odor, leakage, or odd battery noises go straight to the emergency steps above.

Follow the matching model manual and the instructions supplied for the confirmed replacement. Have the work done by a technician if required or if you can't complete it safely. Use only the charger confirmed for that pack and bike. Keep the order, fit confirmation, and installation record together.

For the first charge and later storage, use our e-bike battery charging guide alongside those exact instructions; it does not replace the written fit confirmation.

For the old battery, EPA directs lithium-ion batteries to separate recycling or household hazardous-waste collection, not household trash or curbside recycling. Contact the receiving facility first and disclose any damage. Ask how it can be accepted and transported; don't take a damaged pack to an ordinary collection bin or send it as a routine return parcel.

The order is straightforward: identify the equipment, get the written match, settle the purchase or claim route, and check what actually arrives. A confirmed part beats a convincing product photo.
