Why Choose Actbest Mars ?

Big Utility in a Foldable Design.

The Mars is designed for riders who want electric assistance, everyday cargo capacity and more convenient storage in one versatile folding e-bike.

Its 20" × 3.0" wide tires support stable handling on paved streets, bike paths, campground roads and maintained gravel surfaces. An adjustable front suspension fork helps reduce the impact of bumps and uneven pavement, while the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain gives riders more control over pedaling effort.

The integrated 48V 13.5Ah battery can be removed for charging, allowing you to recharge the battery at home, at work or wherever a suitable indoor outlet is available.

An included rear rack provides space for compatible panniers, bags and baskets. The available front-basket package adds more carrying convenience for groceries and everyday gear.

When storage space is limited, the folding frame makes the Mars easier to store or transport than a comparable non-folding e-bike.

Go Further Between Charges

A morning commute, an afternoon errand, and the ride home don’t always need to mean another charging stop. The removable 48V 13.5Ah battery provides 648Wh of capacity and delivers up to 65 miles of range under ideal pedal-assist conditions, giving the Mars plenty of flexibility for everyday riding.

When you're done for the day, unlock the battery and bring it indoors for convenient charging or storage. Actual range varies with rider and cargo weight, terrain, speed, assist level, temperature, tire pressure, and riding habits.

Power That Shows Up When You Need It Power That Shows Up When You Need It

Power That Shows Up When You Need It

Pull away from an intersection, head into an incline, or ride home with cargo on the rear rack—the 1200W peak motor delivers responsive assistance when the road asks for a little more. With 80N·m of torque and speeds of up to 28 MPH, the Mars has enough support for daily commuting, errands, and longer recreational rides.

The power feels most useful when conditions change: starting with extra weight, maintaining pace on a climb, or moving from flat pavement onto maintained gravel and packed dirt.

Smooth & Stable Ride with Adjustable Front Suspension Smooth & Stable Ride with Adjustable Front Suspension

Smooth & Stable Ride with Adjustable Front Suspension

Cracked pavement, speed bumps, and rough sections can quickly make a daily ride feel tiring. The adjustable front fork helps absorb bumps and road vibrations before they reach the handlebars, keeping the front end more comfortable and controlled as surfaces change.

Paired with the 20" × 3.0" wide tires, it adds extra cushioning and stability when moving between neighborhood streets, bike paths, maintained gravel, and other everyday mixed surfaces.

Fold Down. Free Up Space. Fold Down. Free Up Space.

Fold Down. Free Up Space.

When the ride is over, the folding frame reduces the Mars' footprint so it takes up less room in a garage, apartment storage area, RV, or other limited-space setting. It gives you the everyday utility of an eBike without permanently giving up as much storage space.

The folding design can also make transportation more practical when you have suitable cargo space available. At 69.4 lbs, the Mars is still a substantial eBike, so folding is best thought of as a space-saving feature rather than making the bike lightweight to carry.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Will I really get 65 miles of range in everyday riding?

The 48V 13.5Ah (648Wh) battery can provide up to 65 miles of range under ideal pedal-assist conditions, but real-world range will vary. Hills, rider and cargo weight, speed, assist level, frequent stops, temperature, tire pressure, and riding habits can all affect how far you travel on a charge.

For longer rides, using a moderate assist level, keeping the tires properly inflated, and shifting into an appropriate mechanical gear can help you use the battery more efficiently.

Is the Mars actually easy to carry because it folds?

The folding design is primarily intended to reduce the amount of storage space the bike takes up. At approximately 69.4 lbs, the Mars is still a substantial eBike and may require two people or additional care when lifting it into a vehicle.

Folding makes it more practical for garages, RVs, apartments, and suitable vehicle cargo areas, but it should not be considered a lightweight carry-around folding bike.

What happens if the battery runs out before I get home?

You can continue riding the Mars even if the battery runs out. Its manageable bike weight, adjustable seat height, and Shimano 7-speed drivetrain make it practical to pedal without motor assistance.

Adjust the seat to a comfortable riding height and shift into a lighter gear when starting or climbing to keep pedaling smooth and manageable until you reach your destination.

Should I change gears or just change the pedal-assist level?

Use both—they do different jobs. The Shimano 7-speed drivetrain changes how hard it feels to pedal, while PAS changes how much assistance the motor provides.

Use a lighter mechanical gear when starting or climbing, then shift into a higher gear as your speed increases. Adjust the pedal-assist level depending on how much motor support you want. This approach can make pedaling feel more natural and help you avoid staying in one gear for every situation.

Will the Mars still climb well when I’m carrying groceries?

The 1200W peak motor and 80N·m of torque provide useful support when starting with extra weight or climbing everyday inclines. The rear rack can also carry up to 120 lbs, making the Mars practical for groceries, work bags, and other daily cargo.

Keep in mind that adding weight can reduce acceleration, hill-climbing performance, braking response, and battery range. For climbs with cargo, shift into a lighter gear and select an appropriate pedal-assist level before the incline becomes steep.

Will the 20" wheels feel unstable compared with a full-size eBike?

The Mars pairs its compact 20" wheels with 3.0"-wide tires, giving the tires a broader contact area than narrower commuter tires. The wide tires help add grip and stability, while the adjustable front fork helps soften bumps from cracked pavement, speed bumps, gravel, and other everyday uneven surfaces.

Its setup is designed around commuting, errands, bike paths, maintained gravel, and similar mixed surfaces rather than technical mountain-bike trails.

Is the Mars a good choice if I don’t have much storage space?

That is one of the main reasons to choose the Mars. The folding frame reduces the bike’s footprint when stored, making it more practical for garages, RVs, apartments, or other spaces where a full-size non-folding eBike can be difficult to accommodate.

If you plan to transport it by car, check your cargo dimensions first and keep its 69.4 lb weight in mind when loading.

Can I remove the battery instead of bringing the whole bike inside to charge?

Yes. The 48V 13.5Ah battery is removable, so you can unlock it and bring it indoors for charging or storage instead of positioning the entire bike near an outlet.

This is particularly useful if you store the Mars in a garage, RV, shed, or another location without convenient access to a charging outlet.

Does carrying more weight affect battery range?

Yes. Rider weight and cargo are both part of the load the motor has to move, so heavier loads generally require more energy—especially during frequent acceleration or hill climbing.

The Mars supports up to 400 lbs of total payload, but maximum capacity should not be confused with maximum range. If you are carrying heavier cargo, expect range to decrease and allow additional braking distance.

What should I check regularly on a folding eBike?

Check tire pressure, brake performance, the folding mechanism, wheel fasteners, drivetrain, and battery connection regularly. The folding joint should lock securely before every ride, and the bike should not be ridden if the latch or frame feels loose.

Keeping the tires properly inflated and the drivetrain adjusted also helps the Mars roll more efficiently and keeps shifting smoother.
