Great bike!!

Received the bike on 10/13/23 and my husband had it assembled by the time I got home with no issues. I've only ridden it a few times but so far so good. We bought this ebike as a starter ebike and honestly to simply get me out of the house and a bit more tolerate on bike in hopes of beimg able to get back on my normal bike soon. I have to say for the price it's been fantastic. It's super easy to maneuver and very comfortable. The seat is a bit hard but for my purposes it will do. I would highly recommend it and have do so already to several co-workers. Will update the review if anything changes.

A whole lot of ebike for a great price

We bought 2 that arrived quickly and very well packed. Easy to assemble. My wife and I rode 20 miles yesterday evening. We love how many features the Actbest has, especially the thumb throttle and cruise control. The brake light works even when you don't have the lights turned on. It is too early to say anything about the batteries, but we had plenty of juice remaining at the end of our ride. We would definitely recommend picking up one or two of these ebikes for lots of fun without breaking the bank.

Great Bike

I'm a 72 y/o woman and had to give up biking, as we live in a hilly area and I now have asthma. I couldn't make it up the hills with my old bike and would have to get off and walk the bike up the hill. However, before we were done riding, I would still be so short of breath, that my husband would have to go back home a get the truck to come pick me up. He bought me this bike in the beautiful orange a few weeks ago and I have been riding most days. I usually only need first assist level even on the steeper hills. I like that I can choose the amount of assist, as I want to get some exercise while biking. If I get too tired; however, I can use the throttle and still keep going. No more embarrassment of sitting by the side of the road with my bike while my husband goes to get the truck to take me back home.
Our neighborhood has a lot of seniors, and many have expressed interest in getting an ebike like mine. My hubby has gotten him one, as well, so he can keep up with me. I can't believe it fits him, as he is 6' 7".
Also, my hubby put a basket on the back, so I can load up my fishing gear and ride to the lake about a mile away. This is the best present he has gotten me in the 50 years we've been together.
Thank you for making such a great ebike at such an affordable price.

200 mile review: Excellent value for beginners

I'm a 6'3", 300lbs, 36 year old male who works a sedentary office job. I live in an area with a lot of rolling hills and not much flat pavement. It's not perfect, but it is surprisingly good, and doubly so at its price point (bought on sale for $500, shipped). I've just passed 200 miles on the odometer, primarily riding 12-16 miles at a time, with my longest ride so far being 21 miles. I ride an even split of very hilly roads and flatter stonedust and packed dirt trails.

- Motor is sufficiently powerful to smooth out long hills and give enough assistance to get up larger hills that I'd definitely be walking up with an analog bike. I still have to work for it, but it makes it doable. I spend most of my time in peddle-assist (PAS) level 2, going higher for uphills or dealing with high traffic areas. Very pleased with how well the motor can move me along on flat terrain without pedaling other than from a stop.

- Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward. It comes shipped very securely and partially assembled (moreso than the instructions assume). However, the included instructions were mediocre, missing a few steps and not matching the bike. It seems like it may be for a different model or else they pre-assemble it differently now. Nothing your average person who can put together a moderately complex Lego set can't figure out. Adjusting the handlebar and seat height is a breeze and everything seems quite sturdy and solid.

- Controls are very easy to use and display is easy to read. The six-bar battery indicator is just okay, as I'd prefer something with a bit more precision (percentage or else more bars). Speedometer is usually within 0.5 mph of what my phone's GPS shows, and odometer is off by only about 3% - both far more accurate than I expected at this price point. The throttle and gear shift are a little awkward with their placement - you have to reach over the throttle to shift up; however, I haven't been able to figure out a better way to reposition them due to the awkward shape of the gear shifter.

- Battery is easy to remove and charge. It does seem to take a bit longer than advertised to get a full charge, but I suspect that's due to some smoothing/maintenance the charger does as it gets very close to 100%. The longest I've gone on a single charge is about 32 miles (primarily in PAS-2), at which point I still had 2/6 bars on the charge indicator, so no complaints about battery life. The UL listing is a major plus at this price point too.

- The seat and handlebars are nothing special, but still a little better than I expected at this price point and I've got compliments on how nice they look. The seat starts to get a little uncomfortable around the 5 mile mark, but still isn't too bad even by the 20 mile mark. I'll replace the seat eventually, but the factory seat is fine for now.

- Pedals have a very nice grip, much better than expected.

- Rear cargo rack is very nice and sturdy, though it seems to be missing some mounting holes for third-party accessories that are common on other racks.

- Tires have reasonably good grip on gravel and light mud while riding smooth on pavement. I did get a flat on the rear tire at the 190 mile mark, at which point I noticed the rear tire tread had worn significantly - it was about halfway worn down the center line, far more than I'd expect for 190 miles. The front tire still looks almost new, wear-wise. I replaced the rear tire and tube, which was a little difficult but not too bad.

- Lights are nice and bright and the brake-activated light is a nice bonus. It'd be nice if the headlight had just a little more spread to it, but it does a good job of projecting a lot of light sufficiently down the road for evening/night riding. I'd get an additional light for people who do a lot of night riding, but it's sufficient for evening, low traffic areas, and occasional use.

- The brakes took a bit of adjustment and it took some time on YouTube to figure out how to do that. Would have been nice if adjusting things that typically need adjusting was included in the manual. Brakes work fine though once adjusted.

- The gear shifter is very finicky, though not unexpected at this price point. It took a lot of adjusting and re-adjusting to get it working (which, again, should have a how-to in the manual). I leave it in the highest gear pretty much all the time, save only for getting up very steep hills, though I suspect that's more a result of the electric motor making the lower gears redundant for some of their usual tasks like starting from a stop.

- The handlebar keeps coming loose and needing to be retightened. Most of the bike holds together nicely, except for the handlebars.

- Fender supports (especially front) are a little too easy to come unaligned and rear fender is a little in the way when changing the rear tire. Hasn't been a huge deal, but have considered removing them altogether.
