Why Choose the Core 2.0 Plus ?

Meet the Core 2.0 Plus 27.5" — the smarter evolution of the classic Core 2.0 commuter eBike. Built for riders who prefer a traditional step-over frame, this upgraded model adds torque-sensor assist, a larger 48V 12Ah battery, and smooth-rolling 27.5" wheels to deliver a more natural and capable city ride.

Compared with basic cadence-style assist, the torque sensor responds to how hard you pedal, giving you smoother starts, better control in traffic, and more efficient power use on longer commutes. Paired with a 1200W peak motor, 80Nm of torque, and up to 100 miles of PAS range, the Core 2.0 Plus 27.5" is made for riders who want more from every daily ride.

Torque Sensor Technology

Natural Power That Responds to You

Smooth, controlled assist that matches your pedaling effort in real time.

The Core 2.0 Plus 27.5" uses an advanced torque sensor to measure how hard you pedal and adjust motor assistance to match your effort.

Instead of the sudden on-off push common with basic cadence sensors, torque-sensor assist feels smooth, natural, and easy to control. It helps you start more confidently from stoplights, ride more steadily through traffic, and climb hills with less effort.

Because power is delivered only when your pedaling calls for it, the system also helps improve energy efficiency — making it ideal for longer commutes, grocery runs, and everyday city riding.

  • Smooth, natural pedal assist
  • Better low-speed control
  • Easier stoplight starts
  • More efficient power use
Smart Sensor Technology

Torque Sensor vs. Cadence Sensor — Feel the Difference

Why the Core 2.0 Plus torque sensor delivers a smoother, smarter, and more efficient ride.

Standard Cadence Sensor

  • Only detects whether the pedals are turning
  • Power kicks in abruptly — sudden surges
  • Less refined at low speeds, turns, or in traffic
  • Drains the battery faster
  • Feels like "the bike is dragging you along"

The upgraded 27.5" x 2.1" tires help the Core 2.0 Plus 27.5" roll more smoothly and maintain momentum better than smaller city wheels. They provide a stable, efficient feel for commuting speeds while helping absorb everyday road texture.

An adjustable front suspension fork adds another layer of comfort and control by softening bumps, cracks, and uneven pavement. Lock it out for efficient riding on smoother roads, or open it up when the route gets rough.

With a straight handlebar and a slightly forward riding posture, the Core 2.0 27.5" delivers a sportier, more active riding feel than an upright city bike. This mountain-bike-inspired position is ideal for riders who want sharper control, efficient pedaling, and more confidence at higher speeds.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How does the torque sensor feel in stop-and-go city traffic?

The torque sensor measures how much force you apply to the pedals and adjusts motor assistance to match. Pedal lightly and the bike provides lighter support; push harder and it responds with more assistance.

That makes power delivery easier to control when leaving intersections, slowing for turns, or riding through stop-and-go traffic, rather than relying only on whether the pedals are turning.

Will a torque sensor make me work harder on my commute?

It depends on how you ride. A torque sensor responds to your pedaling effort, so at lower assist settings you'll contribute more of the work yourself. If you want an easier commute, increase the pedal-assist level so the motor provides more support.

The Core 2.0 Plus 27.5" also includes a thumb throttle, giving you the option to get motor assistance without continuous pedaling when you want a break or need help getting moving again.

Will I actually get 100 miles on one charge?

The Core 2.0 Plus can provide up to 100 miles with pedal assist under ideal riding conditions, but real-world range will vary.

Assist level, speed, throttle use, rider and cargo weight, hills, wind, temperature, tire pressure, and frequent stops can all affect how far you travel on a charge. For longer commutes, moderate pedal assist and appropriate gearing can help make more efficient use of the battery.

Can I charge the battery at work instead of bringing the whole bike inside?

Yes. The 48V 12Ah battery is removable, so you can take the battery indoors and charge it separately while leaving the bike parked in a secure location.

This is useful for commuters who park in a garage, bike room, or outdoor bike area but have access to a power outlet at home or work.

Can I carry my work bag or groceries without wearing a backpack?

Yes. The rear rack supports up to 120 lbs and can be used with compatible panniers, baskets, or other cargo accessories for carrying a work bag, groceries, or everyday essentials.

Many bike commuters prefer moving heavier items from their back onto a rack or pannier, particularly on longer rides or warmer days.

Are the 27.5" tires suitable for everyday commuting?

Yes. The 27.5" × 2.1" tires are sized for everyday road and city riding, giving the Core 2.0 Plus a more traditional bicycle feel than smaller fat-tire eBikes.

Combined with the adjustable front suspension, they are well suited to pavement, bike paths, cracked streets, and other everyday commuting surfaces.

How long does charging take?

Charging takes approximately 5–6 hours with the included 54.6V / 2A charger. The removable battery can be charged separately from the bike, making it convenient to recharge at home, at work, or wherever a suitable outlet is available.

Does the Core 2.0 Plus Have a Throttle?

Yes. The Core 2.0 Plus is equipped with a thumb throttle, allowing you to get motor assistance without continuous pedaling. It’s useful for pulling away from a stop, restarting on an incline, or giving your legs a short break during the ride.

Who is this eBike best for?

This model is best for riders who prefer a traditional step-over frame and want smoother torque-sensor assist, longer PAS range, larger wheels, and a more performance-focused commuting experience.

Can I ride it in the rain?

The Core 2.0 Plus has an IPX5 water-resistance rating and is designed to handle splashes and light rain. Avoid deep water, prolonged exposure to heavy rain, and high-pressure washing.

Before charging, make sure the battery, charging port, and electrical connections are dry.
